Odisha trio help East win U-23 women inter-zonal title

Impressive performance by Odisha trio Sushree Dibyadarshini Pradhan, Anjali Singh and Reemalaxmi Ekka helped East Zone emerge champions in the Under-23 Women Inter-Zonal One-day Limited Overs Tournament, held at Vadodara in Gujarat from March to 13, 2018.

East Zone won all four of their league matches to finish at the top of the table with full 16 points. They rode on an unbeaten half-century each by Sapna Choudhary and Richa to crush South Zone by 10 wickets in the last match at GSFC Ground, Vadodara today.

Opting to bat, South Zone were all out for 167 in 43.5 overs. East Zone overhauled the target in 38.2 overs, without losing any wicket. Among Odisha players, Reemalaxmi took two wickets and Sushree one. Odisha opening batsman Anjali Singh, who scored a half-century each in the previous two games, was rested for the last one.
